Finally, the producer and director of Mirugam had come out with a novel idea to promote the film among female audience. The movie will be screened free of cost exclusively for women at Udhayam Theatre in Chennai tomorrow.

Says Samy, ‘I have stressed for the cause of preventing men from going in wrong ways in the film. For that, I wanted all women to watch the movie. So we have organised for a special show. Men too can accompany women, but they have to buy tickets.’

Meanwhile, Chennai City Police Commissioner Nanchil Kumaran has denied permission for the proposed procession of Mirugam produceer Karthik Jay and hero Adhi condemning the removal of a Jallikattu scene in the film.
