  • It’s temple time in Kollywood

Following Lawrence, who is constructing a temple for Sri Raghavendra at Ambattur in Chennai, a temple for Lord Muniyandi is being constructed for Muniyandi Vilangiyal Moonram Andu, a film directed by Metti Oli fame Thirumurugan.

With Bharath in the lead, the film is jointly produced by Lotus Fivestar and Thiru Pictures. Says Thirumurugan, ‘at first, we searched for a Muniyandi temple to shoot the film, since it plays an important role in the plot. Later, we came to the decision to construct a small shrine.’

Stating that the temple is constructed at a cost of Rs 10 lakh with all necessary poojas and parikarams, Thirumurugan said it would be presented to the public after the shooting was over.
