Grand and glossy - Billa

After kindling enough expectations, Billa, the first remake of a Superstar blockbuster is finally out. And beyond any doubt, Ajith has just done justice to do the role, understanding the pressure mounted on him. It is almost like a win or die situation for the actor, in which he had emerged successful.

Technical excellence and racy narration are the two basic ingredients of the film, making it an example for how a remake should be made. Director Vishuvardhan, who had already proved himself in Arindhum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal, has gifted Ajith a right film, which he deserved for years.

Coming to the story, it is the same two-decade old one in which Rajini established himself as a machoman. However, a makeover in the backdrop (Malaysia) and some intelligent changes in the script give the script a Midas touch, one can say.

Ajith, the King of opening will this time will rule the box-office for a longer span, when compared to his earlier flicks. Such is his performance and hardwork in donning the role of a don. Nayanthara and Namitha are the two biggest assets of the film, flooring the audience with their own assets in filmsiest of clothes. Prabhu and Rahman provide enough support to the film.

Neerav Sha has captured exotic locations of Malaysia live in his camera while Yuvan Shankar Raja’s music pumps enough fuel for the film. The remix of My name is Billa makes Ajith fans to dance in cinema halls. Yuvan’s background score too recommends a pat for him.

In short, the film produced by L Suresh on Ananda Pictures Circuit is one more feather in the cap of Ajith and a dedication to Superstar Rajinikanth.

Billa – Brilliant
