In Ennai Par Yogam Varum, Mansoor Alikhan often plays goli, hits ghilli, and rotates top (bambaram). Before taking any decision in the movie, Mansoor and his peers forms a circle by joining hands like a cricket team and discuss with each other. And a lady politician, who can even rewrite the fate of a government approaches local thug Mansoor to stop a wedding. Sounds kiddish? Well, with this clue about the movie, we will now move to the story of Ennai Par Yogam Varum.
Jaga (Mansoor) is a ruffian, who will do anything for money. However, he has his own set of rules that he will accept ‘orders’ from customers only if he feels that they approached him for a right cause.
Meanwhile, MLA Muthamma (Anuradha) approaches Jaga to stop the marriage of her son with the daughter of a retired deputy Tahsildar, following a deal with a political big gun. For that, she convinces Jaga by talking ill of the girl, whom his son going to marry. Believing this, Jaga stops the wedding which leads to the death of the bride’s father. This makes the girl to take revenge of Jaga. Will she succeeded in her mission or not forms the remaining part of the movie.
Mansoor is in his usual business throughout the movie. Apart from acting and producing, he has also written songs for Ennai Par Yogam Varum. New face Manju, who plays the heroine role, has to learn the basics of acting. Others who form the part of the movie include R Sundarrajan, Vennira Adai Murthy, Benjamin, Ponnambalam and Muthukalai. Dalith Panthers leader Thol Thirumavalavan too appears in a song in Ennai Par Yogam Varum.
Director Jaminraj has attempted to tell messages to the society through the movie. However, his efforts fail to take off due to logical potholes and week screenplay. The movie could have been better if the director would have concentrated on strengthening the screenplay
