If Priya's first venture Kanda Nal Mudhal was like a fresh coffee for the youth, her second film Kannamoochi Enadaa is a full meals for the family audience, as the movie dwells on the relationship between the elders and the younger ones, stuffed with a candyfloss love story.
Though the story of love at first sight and opposition from parents is not new for Tamil cinema, Priya proves that she is a disciple of
Maniratnam with her interesting screenplay and tasteful picturisation. Her bringing out of performance from the artists too tells us the same.
Kannamoochi Enadaa revolves around Prithviraj, a software businessman
in Malaysia, who falls for Sandhya, a psychiatry student, at first
sight. Sandhya is the daughter of Police Commissioner Sathyaraj and
Radhika. With Prithvi's uncle Radharavi (who adopts Prithvi and makes
him the heir of his assets) and Sathyaraj not ready to accept the love
affair, did Prithvi emerge success or not forms the crux.
The performance graph of Prithvi is touching greater heights film
after film, one can say. And needless to say, Sathyaraj and Radhika
deliver their best. Sandhya plays a chirpy and vivacious girl and
performs it with all ease. Radharavi's experience is visible on the
screen.
Preeta's cinematography and Yuvan Shankar Raja's music deserves
special mention. Director Priya needs to be appreciated for coming out
with a feel good movie for the second time amidst edge-of-the-seat
action thrillers and punch dialogue flicks.
