Jeevan, who is considered as a Machakaran (lucky person) in Kollywood after shaking legs with five heroines in Nan Avanillai, has joined hands with director Tamizhvaanan, whose debut movie Kalvanin Kadhali bombed at the box office.
One can say that Machakaran may bring luck to Tamizhvannan as his improvement is visible on the screen when compared to his earlie movie, whereas the film could not be a welcome addition in Jeevan's career due to the absence of logic and potholes in screenplay.
Well, the storyline is that Vicky (Jeevan) is the son of a railway
ticket Inspector (remember Vinod Rajan, who played Jeevan's uncle in
Thiruttu Payale). Vicky is considered to be unlucky in all aspects and
he finds himself in a wrong place at a wrong time all the time.
One fine day, he finds Shivani (Kamna Jethmalani), the daughter of a
business tycoon (GM Kumar). Shivani is like an apple of eye for his
father as he strongly believes that it was because of her he had
earned all the wealth. As you guess rightly, opposite poles attract
each other and the both fall in love.
However, fate plays a different role and makes Vicky to face
challenges to tie knot to Shivani. Did the lovers unite in the climax
forms the crux.
Jeevan plays the regular jobless youth role. However, he needs to
improve his dancing abilities, as he scroes very poor in dance
sequences. Though Kamna is beautiful, she fails to impress audience as
she lacks nativity in her face.
The screenplay fails to take off till interval. What happened to
Yuvan? None of his music is good to ears this Deepavali.
Cinematography by A Venkatesh blends well with the movie.
