Normaly, movies dubbed from Telugu are well known for high voltage, action packed masala. Proving this once again, Nandhu, the dubbing version of the 2005 Telugu blockbuster Athadu with Mahesh Babu and Trisha in the lead roles has come as no inferior to any of the yesteryear Telugu dubbing movies.

Playing the title role, Mahesh Babu is a professional killer who finishes off the opponents of his clients. One day, he gets an assignment from a politician (Sayaji Shinde) to make an assassination bid on him in a public meeting, in order to sympathise the public to garner votes. While Mahesh Babu gets ready to enact the drama, someone really kills Sayaji and the blame falls on Mahesh Babu.

However, Mahesh Babu manages to make an escape from the eyes of police.While fleeing from the crime scene, he unintentionally becomes the cause for the death of an innocent run-away youngster, who is returning to his home after a decade. Utilising the opportunity, Mahesh Babu enters the household of the youth in his disguise where he knows the value of the family system through the guy’s grandfather (Nasser) and going to be wife (Trisha). The rest of the story is about how Mahesh Babu solve all the problems.

Prakash Raj is adequate as the investigating officer. Both Sayaji and Nasser had once again showcased their experience in acting. Manisharma’s music, K V Guhan’s cinematography and Peter Hayenes’ stunts add strengths to the movie. Director Thiruvikram, who was known in Telugu cinema as Trivikram has presented a full length entertainer in Nandhu.
