At the time when mobile phones have become an inevitable part in day to day life, director K Paneerselvam has come out with a movie which dwells on the other side of the technology -- the dificulties a man facing due to his cell phone.
In short, Thollaipesi is all about a man who caught in between her wife and girl friend all because of a mobile phone. How he escapes from the network knot forms the crux of the movie. Vedachala aka Veda (Vikramaditya), is a casanova kind of person who continues to lead a playboy life even after his marriage. Thanks to his mobile phone, his wife Anita (Priyanka) knows about the affair of Veda with Reema (Divya). With life taking a U turn from that moment, did the couple unite or not is the remaining part of Thollaipesi.
Except emotional sequences, Vikramditya strived hard to give his best to the role. He looks good, espeically romantic scenes. After Veyyil, Priyanka has tried her luck in Thollaipesi. Donning the role of an conservative wife, Priyanka fits to the role.
Though Paneerselvam deserves kudos for coming out with a different story, he could have avoided lengthy sequences in the second half. Otherwise, Thollaipesi is a right entertainer for those coming to theatres to unwind themselves.
