Tamil cinema can't forget Dr Rajasekar, at least for the 'threatening' titles of his films. After Idhuthan Da Police, Aambalai and Evana Irundha Enakkenna, the latest from the doctor turned actor is Udambu Eppadi Irukku, a dubbing version of Telugu hit Evaidaithey Naakenti, which is a remake of Malayalam blockbuster Lion.
Hitting theatres simultaneously with Nam Nadu, which is also the Tamil version of Lion, Udam Eppadi Irukku differs from the Sarath's flick in its hard hitting dialogues, with Rajasekar's non political image helping him to go to any extent in bashing the politicians.
Major Surya (Dr Rajasekhar) returns home from the army only to find that his State is being ruined by his father (Raghuvaran), the Education Minister and his bureaucrat brother's-in-law.
Irked by this, Surya himself enters into politics to cleanse the system with the help of a lady cop (Mumaith Khan). How he emerge triumphant forms the rest of the film, which is an out and out mass masala entertainer.
The film is directed by Jeevitha, wife of Rajasekar and a yesteryear heroine of Kollywood. Understanding the taste of audience, Jeevitha has presented the film in a straight forward way.
