Fire in bank complex
July 23, 2008:A major fire broke out in the Citibank complex at Abhiramapuram on Monday night.
The ATM and reception area of the bank were completely gutted in the fire which was reportedly caused by electrical short circuit.
Three fire tenders were pressed into service following which a main portion of the bank was saved from the raging inferno.
