July 23, 2008:A woman, who believed that she was ‘possessed’ by evil spirits, ended her life by hanging herself at her house in Avadi.

The woman, identified as Geetha (38) took the extreme step apparently dejected about the fact she was under the control of evil spirits and they would ‘leave’ her only after she died.

It is said Geetha had often complained to her husband that she was possessed and had reportedly attempted suicide several times earlier. When she was alone at home Monday night, Geetha decided to end her life and hanged herself.
