Shillong, Sep 11 : The Hynniewtrep national Youth Front (HNYF) has demanded the MPA government to come out with a clear policy on education policy in Meghalaya.

In a statement, the HNYF demanded that the state government should come out with a clear education policy by September 26 and it should be implemented before the end of this academic session (2008).

The alleged delay of the state government to announce proper education policy was encouraging private school managements to make profits forcing students to pay arbitrary fees.

In the absence of a clear education policy students, particularly those from poor families, were finding difficult to pay tuition fees to the private institutions as per their demand, the organisation stated.
