Man kills seven of his accomplices

May 15, 2008: Reminding ‘Auto’ Shankar, who killed several persons a couple of decades ago, an accused in a theft case at Kancheepuram has confessed in the police interrogation that he had murdered seven of his gang members.

Following this, police on Wednesday exhumed the bodies from various places in Kancheepuram. It is said that the accused Devaraj had murdered them after every tussle that would occur while sharing the booty.

Things came to light when a team headed by Superintendent of Police Periyaiah arrested Devaraj on suspicion in a theft case. After intensive interrogation, Devaraj confessed to have committed the crime.
