Multiple claims are doing rounds as reasons behind the cancellation of the trailer launch function of Billa 2, which was scheduled to be held at Anna Centenary Library auditorium on Monday night.
While some say there is a tiff between the producer and distributor (Aascar V Ravichandran) over television rights of the function, there are others who cite legal troubles as the reason.
'A PIL was filed in the High Court over renting the library hall for wedding and other functions. The court said on Monday that the hall should not be used for weddings. Expecting such a verdict, the authorities cancelled the permission on Sunday itself,' sources say.
