Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today increased as 500 the seats alloted to sports persons in Tamil Nadu engineering counselling.
According to a State goverment release, from the existing 100, a total number of 500 seats will be alloted to sports persons from this academic year (2012-13).
The Chief Minister has issued an order in this regard having in mind the increasing number of sports competitions and in a bid to encourage and motivate sports persons, said the release.
