SSLC results today

June 4,  2012: The Tenth Standard Board examination results will be announced today at 1.30 p.m.

Over 11 lakh students appeared for the board exams which commenced from 4 April and concluded on 23 April. This year the exams assumed significance as students from SSLC, Matric, Anglo-Indian and OSLC streams appeared under Samacheer Kalvi (Uniform syllabus), which was introduced for classes I to X this academic year.

A total of 10,66,459 candidates registered through schools, with 7,87,734 of them from the Tamil medium stream.  A total of 81,071 private candidates have enrolled for the public examination, with 19,574 appearing for the first time.

Students can collect the marksheets from their respective schools on 21 June. Students can apply for retotaling from 5 to 7 June. Also, students who failed in the Tenth board examination can apply for special instant exams through their schools from 5 to 7 June.
