 The Reserve Bank of India on Tuesday cautioned the public not to be misled by the advertisements of Aphro Trust in the electronic media.
In a statement, the bank's Non-Banking Supervision Department said, "It has come to the notice of RBI that Aphro Trust and its associates are unauthorisedly using the name of RBI in their website by stating that loans are extended under RBI guidelines".
"The members of the public are hereby informed that the activities of Aphro Trust and its associates are not regulated by RBI. Members of the public are also cautioned not to be misled by the trust/associates advertisements in the electronic media. Any dealings with the trust/associates will be at the sole risk of those who deal with them," it added. |
