.jpg) A day after the Madras High Court issued a directive, officials of School Education Department and Transport Department today appeared before the court in connection with the death of seven year old girl Shruti who died in a freak mishap involving her school bus on July 25.
The First Bench of the High Court comprising Chief Justice M Y Eqbal and Justice T S Sivagnanam said it would monitor the action being taken in the issue. It warned officials to ensure that such incidents did not recur.
The Court on Thursday took suo motu took cognizance of the death of the student of Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and directed the officials of the school and Transport departments to appear before the court today.
