 In the remake of Thillu Mullu, Prakash Raj has been roped in to play the role that was made memorable by veteran actor Thengai Srinivasan in the original version. Mirchi Shiva is playing the lead role.
Director Badri of Veerappu fame, who is wielding the megaphone for the remake, has roped in Kovai Sarala to repeat the magic of Sowcar Janaki.
Also, it is said Badri is altering the script to make it strike a chord with the present day audience. He is also on the lookout for an actress who will equalise Madhavi's beautiful performance in the original version.
