Actor arrested for rash driving

An actor lost the plot and control of his car on Sunday, leaving four people injured as his vehicle careened across Poonamallee High Road in Chennai and slammed into a motorcycle and two autorickshaws.

Tamil film actor Sriranjan alias Suresh (24), a new face was arrested after the car in which he was driving knocked down three vehicles, causing serious injuries to four people, including a cop.

Police said Suresh, a Visual communication student who made his debut in a recent film 'Theni Mavattam', presently producing a film on his own.

The injured include a police inspector, Anandan and his nephew Govardan, who were on the two-wheeler. The duo has been admitted to a private hospital.

Two autorickshaw drivers, Prabhudoss and Munivel, are undergoing treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.
