Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa has announced creation of Kalasapakkam and Madathukulam taluks in Tiruvannamalai and Tiruppur district.
According to an official press release, the state government would incur an expense of Rs four crore in recruiting employees and providing adequate infrastructure facilities in these taluks.
The creation of Kalasapakkam taluk in Tiruvannamalai that would comprise Kalasapakkam, Kadaladi and Kettavarampalayam.
In Tiruppur district, Madathukulam taluk would be created comprising Thoongavi and Madathukulam.
Recently, the CM ordered the creation of 107 new revenue villages and also the constitution of equal number of village administrative officer and village assistants posts.
The decision to restructure the revenue villages was taken since the Kanyakumari district accounts for a high population density ranging from 30,000 to one lakh in each revenue village.
