Moscow, Aug 18 (IANS/RIA Novosti) An Afghan policeman shot dead two American servicemen in Afghanistan's western Farah province, the Pajhwok Afghan News reported Saturday.
In a statement, NATO said two US Forces-Afghanistan (USFOR-A) service members died Friday as a result of an insider attack in Farah.
A member of the Afghan Local Police turned his weapon against the two USFOR-A service members. The attacker was shot and killed, NATO said.
"Officials are investigating the incident to determine the facts and as more information becomes available it will be released as appropriate," the statement said.
The attack came a week after six American troops were killed in a single day by their local colleagues in southern Helmand province.
