Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Tuesday announced a solatium of Rs one lakh each to the families of 12 people who died in a road mishap in Dharmapuri district on May 27.
In a statement, she said the victims were travelling atop of a mango-laden lorry, when the vehicle overturned while negotiating a curve on the ghat section.
While ten people were killed on the spot, two others succumbed to injuries at a hospital.
The Chief Minister expressed her heartfelt condolences to the
bereaved families and announced a solatium of Rs one lakh each
to them.
Pointing out that 31 people sustained injuries in the mishap and
were admitted to hospital, the Chief Minister announced an assistance of Rs 25,000 each to the seriously injured and
Rs 10,000 each to those who suffered simple injuries. |
