Three youngsters, including a girl, drowned in three separate incidents in Perambalur district.
According to reports, Ranjith Kumar (16) and N Bharathi (15), both of Ladapuram, drowned in an agricultural well at Ladapuram near Perambalur. Bharathi was watching two of her friends learn swimming in the well when she accidentally slipped and fell into the well and drowned. Ranjith Kumar who went to her rescue also drowned.
In another incident, Yajaman (15) drowned in a pond at a
stone quarry at Pudhuneduvalur near here, reports added. |
